The Park is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am-4pm.
We are open 7 days a week during Victorian state school holidays.
As we are a large open-air Park, last entry to the Park is 3.30pm.
FREE ENTRY. No booking required.
To best experience Coal Creek, we recommend that you allow at least two hours at our site.
Please be aware that the terrain is steep and rugged and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.
Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult whilst in the park.
Dogs are welcome! Coal Creek is now a dog-friendly park, complete with water bowls and waste bins.
To protect the Park’s heritage buildings and wildlife, Visitors must make sure their dogs are:
- Kept on a short leash.
- Supervised at all times.
- Clean up after.
- Not permitted inside buildings (apart from the short walk through the Main Entrance building).
Bus Timetable between Melbourne and Coal Creek
The train is not currently operating.
The General Store is open on Farmers Market days (the second Saturday of the month) when a range of food, coffee, produce and craft stalls are set up in front of the Main Building. Please keep an eye on our social media pages for up-to-date details.
