Volunteering at Coal Creek Community Park and Museum

Coal Creek is a Community Park and Museum located in Korumburra. The venue hosts many successful events throughout the year including Halloween, Easter Egg Hunt, Literary Festival, GeekFest and Carols at the Creek.

Coal Creek is home to an outstanding collection of memorabilia that showcases the history of South Gippsland as well as a community art gallery displaying works by local artists and the Prom Country Visitor Information Centre. A farmers’ market is held in the Coal Creek car park on a monthly basis.

Volunteers are key to the success of Coal Creek and they participate in a range of activities including:

  • Reception at the front foyer
  • Events
  • Retail assistance
  • Building maintenance
  • Grounds maintenance
  • Conducting activities and demonstrations for school visitors
  • Curatorial assistance
